Dog Events Coming Up These Next Two Weekends (May 19-27)

Here are some great events that are dog-related going on in the Dallas-Fort Worth area!

2018 Dallas Pet Expo at the Dallas Market Hall
Saturday, May 19 from 10am to 5pm
Sunday, May 20 from 11am to 4pm

Best in (Fashion) Show at City of Denton Animal Shelter
Saturday, May 19 from 6 to 8:30pm

Adoptable pups will be strutting their stuff on the runway at a fashionable fundraiser for the Denton Animal Shelter’s Emergency Medical Care fund.  All ticket sale proceeds will benefit the shelters Emergency Medical Care fund, which allows the shelter to care/treat any sick or injured animals they intake.  Pups will be sporting original fashion designs from local designers and University of North Texas fashion design students.  There will be food, music and door prizes.

Pints for Pups Benefiting Chihuahua Rescue & Transport at Lazy Dog in Addison
Saturday, May 19 from 4 to 7pm

Join Chihuahua Rescue & Transport  at the Lazy Dog Restaurant in Bar in Addison for their first-ever Pints for Pups fundraiser. There will be a silent auction, raffle baskets, and much more.

All proceeds benefit Chihuahua Rescue & Transport, and Lazy Dog will donate 15% of your total bill to CRT if you print out and bring the flyer posted on their Facebook page!

Downward Dog Yoga at Mutts Canine Cantina
Sunday, May 20 at 10am

CorePower Yoga and Mutts is inviting you and your dog to take a yoga class! After yoga, reward your #fitness lifestyle with a $5 Yoga Poser Pale Ale from NoCoast Beer Co…100% of the proceeds benefiting Epic Animal Rescue. Adoptable dogs will be on site as well.

Class 1 – check in by 10 a.m.
Class 2 – check in by 11:30 a.m.

FYI- Mutts membership or a Mutts Day Pass is required for dogs to participate.

Fur Fun Run
SATURDAY, MAY 26 at 8am

Run, walk and bring Fido to the Unleashed Paws’ Fur Fun Run, hosted at Noble Rey Brewing Company.

The Memorial Day weekend paw-triotic run and walk is a terrific way to salute service dogs and the veterans they assist, with proceeds benefiting Patriot PAWS Service Dogs.  DOn’t forget to dress yourself and your pup in red, white and blue!

Following the run/walk, there will be a party with music, hot dogs, Noble Rey brews, pup pools, pup treats and more.

The Fur Fun Run includes a 5K run/walk and a 1-mile pet stroll. Donations to the event are also welcome. Human registration is $40 to $75 in advance. Dog registration is $20. Party-only tickets are $25.  Ticket information available here.


Dallas Pets Alive’s 6th Annual Pup Crawl
Saturday, May 26 from 1 to 5pm

Community Beer Company, Austin Eastciders, and seven Deep Ellum bars join in this event that benefits Dallas Pets Alive’s medical and behavioral care of adoptable pets.

Your $30 advanced ticket ($40 at the door) gets you:
• 4 tickets for a pint of beer or cider to be redeemed at Dot’s Hop House, Braindead Brewing, Anvil Pub, Easy Slider, The Armoury, Twilite Lounge or Three Links.
• Pup Crawl t-shirt

Check-in is from noon until 1 p.m. at Dot’s Hop House.  Get your paws on the tickets here!

Sunday Pupday 
Sunday, May 27 from 11am to 2pm

Fort Worth friends, here’s a great event for you!

Starting 11 a.m. at Pouring Glory, you’ll crawl your way to Hopfusion and then finish at the Collective Brewing Project Taproom for some relaxing patio time with the pups.

$25 gets you a pour at each stop, a custom Kleen Kanteen Steel Pint and plenty of treats for the doggo: get the tickets here!
